Who runs this
AI Duels is run by an individual developer based in Türkiye. Contact: [email protected].
What we store
- A random player ID, kept in a cookie on your device. It lets the game know which answers are yours. It is not linked to your name, email or any account, because there are no accounts.
- A generated nickname such as "Smug Otter". You never type a name.
- The short answers you type and the judge's rulings on them, stored with the duel.
- Counts used to stop abuse: how many rounds a player ID has played today, and the same count for a scrambled form of your network address that changes every day. We do not store the address itself.
- A few button presses (for example that a share button was used), tied to the random player ID.
- How you arrived: whether you opened the home page, a challenge link or a result link, the language the page was shown in, your country (not your city or address), and the name of the website or campaign tag that linked to us (for example "reddit.com"), never the full address of the page you came from.
A list of your recent duels is kept only on your device.
What we do not do
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.
- No profiles, and no selling or sharing of data for marketing.
Why we store it
The player ID, nickname, answers and rulings are needed to run the game you asked to play. The abuse counts are kept because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the game available and affordable to run.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its database, and runs the check that a visitor is human.
- OpenAI receives the answers typed in a round so that its models can screen them for abusive content and write the ruling. It receives no player ID, nickname or network address from us.
Both companies may process data outside your country, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Duels, with their answers and rulings, stop being shown after 30 days and are then deleted. Abuse counts are deleted after about two days. The cookie lasts up to one year unless you clear it sooner.
Your choices
Do not type personal information into answers; the game refuses anything that looks like contact details. Clearing your browser's site data removes the player ID from your device. To ask for a duel to be deleted, or to ask what is held against a player ID, email us the duel link. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
AI Duels is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
